First-Year Admission

Your trail to Tumbleberry starts here

Big ideas. Brighter days.

Applying to Tumbleberry takes about an hour, and you can save your progress and come back anytime. We read every application by hand, and we care more about who you are and what you want to explore than about a single test score.

Applications submitted by December 1 are free.

Four steps to apply

Use the Tumbleberry Application or the Common App. We treat both exactly the same, so choose whichever is easier for you.

  1. Step 1

    Submit your application

Create an account, tell us about your interests, and write one short essay (250 to 500 words) on a topic of your choice.

  2. Step 2

    Send your transcript

Ask your school counselor to send an official transcript. Unofficial copies are fine for an admission decision.

  3. Step 3

    Add a recommendation

One letter from a teacher, counselor, coach, or mentor who knows you well. A second letter is optional.

  4. Step 4

    Watch BerryLink

Within two days you will get BerryLink login details to track your checklist, see your decision, and view your aid offer.
