Research rooted in the Ridgeline region

A brighter tomorrow, together.

Our centers take on questions too big for one lab: how to keep mountain rivers healthy, how small towns get good health care, and how the outdoor economy can work for everyone who lives here.

How our centers work

Each center is led by a faculty director and reports to Dr. Helena Marsh, Vice President for Research. Centers hire students every semester, host public talks and work with partners from tribal governments to county health departments and local businesses.

Centers are reviewed every five years to make sure they still serve students and the region. New centers can be proposed through the Office of Research each fall.
