Tumbleberry welcomed 1,912 first-year students to campus for Bear Camp, August 19 through 23, the largest incoming class in the university's history.

The class comes from 44 states and 27 countries, and nearly one in three students is the first in their family to attend college. Over five days, new Bears met their TBU 100 mentors, hiked the Summit Sunrise trail and moved into Larkspur Commons and Huckleberry Hall.

"This class chose a university that is still writing its traditions," said Director of Admissions Grant Whitaker. "They are going to leave their mark on every one of them."
